Casa do Cuidar is a non-profit social organization, created with the objective of shared multidisciplinary work in the practice and teaching of Palliative Care.
Our purpose
Mission
Casa do Cuidar’s mission is the excellence of practice and teaching in Palliative Care, as well as the dissemination of this knowledge to society and health professionals, so that patient’s suffering, in all its related dimensions, can be alleviated in an appropriate and satisfactory manner and families can go through this experience feeling supported.
Vision
Contribute to the education of society regarding the importance of human dignity in face of suffering and death and educate highly trained professionals to attend and care for patients and families in all of its dimensions (biological, psychological, social, familiar, and spiritual), expanding thus, access and quality of assistance in palliative care in Brazil.
Values
- Respect for the patient’s autonomy.

- Availability, attention and listening to the needs of each patient, family and professionals involved in caring for human suffering resulting from a disease that threatens the continuity of life.
