Casa Paliativa is a living space (in person and online) dedicated to patients with serious illnesses who may benefit from Palliative Care. The space has activities that provide dialogue, active listening, well-being, quality of life, belonging, building a legacy, information and professional advice. Family members who are at the forefront of patient care are also welcome in the community.
Casa Paliativa is located at the headquarters of Casa do Cuidar. Rua Vitorino Carmilo 644, Santa Cecília – São Paulo. Close to Marechal Deodoro metro station.
Classes, workshops and online meetings are held via the Zoom platform. An agenda is available on the closed Facebook community: www.facebook.com/groups/casapaliativa .
Only patients and family caregivers can participate in the activities of Casa Paliativa.
The project is supervised by Dr. Ana Cláudia Quintana Arantes (MD) and coordinated by Cristiane Ferraz Prade (Psych) and Ana Michelle Soares, journalist, metastatic breast cancer patient, trained in palliative care at Casa do Cuidar, author of the profile @paliativas and of the book “Enquanto eu Respirar” (While I breathe).
In addition to all the staff, teachers and volunteers at Casa do Cuidar.
